London Day of Action – Against Caterpillar Inc. (in support of CAW Local 27). Electro-Motive (previously GM Diesel) is now a subsidiary of U.S. industrial giant Caterpillar Inc.

Caterpillar is attempting to bulldoze Canadian workers. It is time to fight back!  Nearly 500 unionized workers were locked out New Year’s Day, two days after rejecting a contract offer that would cut their wages by over 50%, dropping hourly wages from $35 to $16.50. The Company in addition is also demanding devastating cuts to benefits and pensions. Caterpillar Inc. has enjoyed billions in profit in recent times and a 20 percent boost to production over the last year. We want to make this rally bigger than last year’s Days of Action. The future of Ontario jobs depends on it.
